An overnight journey to the private game reserves situated on the western fringe of the Kruger National Park. At Hoedspruit you are transferred to the game lodge of your choice for your one to three nights stay. A late afternoon departure from Hoedspruit conveys returning game lodge guests to Pretoria, arriving mid-morning in Pretoria.

DAY 1:  Pretoria to Hoedspruit

Depart Pretoria Station in the late afternoon at 18h00. Boarding formalities are completed by guests' personal butler in the comfort of the Blue Train's sumptuous station lounge. The eastward journey traverses Mpumalanga Province to the southwestern border of Kruger National Park, then turns northward, crossing into the Northern Province. Two stops along the way include Witbank and Nelspruit.A double suite aboard the Blue Train.

Accommodations on Board: The Blue Train offers two suite categories with private facilities and showers. All suites have a choice of twin or double beds and feature individual climate controls. The larger luxury compartments are equipped with CD players and video machines. All meals and drinks are included. 

DAY  2:  Hoedspruit

Arriving at 10h00, you will disembark, assisted by your butler. Game lodge hosts collect you and transport you to their private game reserve.

Departing guests are assisted aboard by their designated butler and escorted to their accommodation for the return journey to Pretoria at 18h00.

Attractions: The "Valley of the Olifants" (Valley of the Elephants) lies between the central and northern regions of the Kruger National Park, and the northerly extremes of the Drakensberg range escarpment to the west. Apart from superb big game viewing, including the Big Five, the valley affords guests easy access to the Kruger National Park, the Drakensberg escarpment, Blyde River Canyon, several championship golf courses, and excellent fly fishing. Historical, cultural and archeological attractions abound in the valley.
