Zululand
Safari...
This three-night safari in Zululand can serve as an extension/add-on to one of our unique routes, special interest tours or river adventures: Combine your African wildlife viewing with a river safari, air safari, birding safari, or include a beach excursion where you can scuba dive or go deep sea fishing. |

1: Cape
Town — Zululand
Transfer to Durban International Airport where you will be met and assisted onto a connecting flight to Richard's Bay. On arrival at Richard's Bay Airport you will be collected by a representative of Phinda and transferred to the lodge. Phinda is flanked by the Ubombo mountains to the west and the unspoiled coastline of Maputaland to the east, within one of Africa's most ecologically diverse regions. You will spend three nights in the 17,000 ha Phinda Resource Reserve, one of the largest private reserves in northern Zululand. Within the Phinda Reserve there are seven distinct ecosystems. You travel through the palm savanna, the dense thornveld, the rare sand forest or the mountain forest, finding different flora and fauna within each, a wide variety of animals, and some 400 bird species; insect, reptile and marine life are present in similar abundance. Nowhere else in Africa is there such diversity and nowhere else such a range of adventure. Overnight at Phinda Mountain Lodge (FB—full board basis) |
