 Peter
Lawson has been leading birdwatching, photographic and wildlife tours since 1983. His ability to share his vast fund of knowledge is well known and he enjoys a reputation as one of
Southern Africa's most experienced and professional guides.
Peter has been fascinated
with birds since his childhood. Born in South Africa, he has traveled
and birded throughout the sub-continent and has an intimate knowledge of
the region's avifauna. He particularly enjoys sharing his bird-finding and identification skills with foreign visitors and beginners, but is equally at home with those familiar with African birds.
In addition to his passion for birds, Peter is an authority on African mammals, reptiles and wildlife. He is also an accomplished photographer and an Associate of the Photographic Society of Southern Africa. His photographs have appeared in a variety of publications and he is the recipient of numerous awards.
Peter researches and plans each photographic or birdwatching tour, ensuring that his knowledge and experience is passed on, even when a tour may be led by another guide.
