ITINERARY 
DAY 1: 

Depart for the West Coast with a guided tour of the West Coast Ostrich Farm and a short visit to Mamre. This afternoon, we proceed on one of the short trails (two hours) in the West Coast National Park. This Park offers some of the finest birding in the Western Cape. This evening we enjoy a seafood dinner at an informal outdoor restaurant.

Overnight The Farmhouse  (BB-L-D—bed & breakfast basis, with lunch and dinner)

DAY  2: 

After a hearty breakfast we depart for the Cedarberg traveling via Veldrif, with packed lunch en-route. Apart from the flowers, the region is notable for its brilliant night skies and fine examples of Bushman rock art. This afternoon we hike up to view the bushman paintings.

Overnight Kromrivier  (DBB-L—dinner, bed & breakfast basis, with lunch)

DAY 3: 

The Cedarberg is characterized by unusual rock formations.After breakfast we depart on a four-hour hike to the Maltese Cross with a packed lunch en-route. This popular hiking and mountaineering area is characterized by gnarled cedar trees, craggy peaks and spectacular weathered rocks. This afternoon we travel to Picketberg.

 

Overnight Noupoort Guest Farm  (DBB-L—dinner, bed & breakfast basis, with lunch)

DAY 4: 

Start the day with an early morning two-hour hike. After a mid-morning brunch, we depart through the Berg River Valley, Wellington and Paarl with a visit to the Language Monument. One of the best wine-producing areas, Paarl has many imposing old buildings and fascinating museums.

We return to Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight, or connect up with your next module.
