Breede River raftingWe invite you to escape to the beauty of the majestic Overberg and explore the Breede River near Swellendam in the Western Cape. Passing through Swellendam, the third oldest town in South Africa, you'll see some of the finest examples of old Cape Dutch architecture.

Join Felix Unite's river specialists for an exciting weekend adventure at one of their three unique base camps established along the Breede River, just 2½ hours drive from Cape Town. No river rafting experience is necessary and full instructions are given.

This is African tranquility at its best—glorious days rafting the Breede, with daylight fading into unforgettable sunsets. A time to socialize around the campfire after each thrilling day on the river, and feast on mouthwatering cuisine.

DAY 1: 

Arrive at the river camp at which you'll be staying in the late afternoon. You'll be met by your guides and shown to your accommodation. Relax with snacks and sundowners before feasting on a delicious dinner prepared for you by your guides.

Overnight at Round the Bend, Up the Creek or Walkabout Base Camp
 (FB—full board basis)

DAY  2: 

Start the day with a hearty breakfast and a safety briefing. Then spend the day drifting/paddling down the Breede River in two-man inflatable "crocodiles". A picnic lunch is served on the banks of the river. 

Return to camp in the late afternoon for snacks and hot showers. Spend the evening relaxing around the campfire, indulging in roast lamb with all the trimmings.

DAY 3: 

After breakfast you'll get to paddle another beautiful stretch of the river. Return to camp in the early afternoon for a late lunch. Depart for Cape Town after lunch.
