![]() The Palace has 322 rooms and 16 suites. Each room has a view over water or jungle, and the hand-carved furniture illustrates the plants and wildlife of Africa. Standard rooms have entrance foyers, en suite bathrooms and seating areas. Amenities include air-conditioning, TV, radio, safe, telephone, minibar and butler station. It has several exclusive shops, and the hotel's facilities and services meet all conference and banqueting requirements.
Superb cuisine is offered in the Palace's two top-class restaurants, and elegant bars and lounges provide the perfect atmosphere for casual pre-dinner and after-dinner drinks: The Crystal Court, with a terrace overlooking the rock pool and tropical gardens, offers a sumptuous buffet breakfast. The world-class Villa del Palazzo overlooks the Grand Pool... a splendid turquoise swimming pool set in the middle of the tropical forest.
The Lost City has 25 hectares of gardens and jungle, including rain forests, baobab trees, and a jacaranda forest among the 3,200 species of plants. From the Elephant Courtyard, the Royal Staircase leads you through the tropical jungle to the Royal Baths, an ancient-style pool surrounded by towering columns. And nearby is the Royal Arena, an amphitheater with seating for 800 people. At the amazing Valley of the Waves, you can relax on an inflatable tube and float past rain forests, and over simulated rapids. A wave pool edged with white beach is fringed with palm trees and islands for sunbathing; and for the more adventurous, there are thrilling water slides. |
