Cape
Town...
The Mother City—and one of the most spectacular cities of the
world—has much to offer visitors with Table Mountain, beautiful beaches, Cape Point and
its famous V&A Waterfront. A blend of architectural styles reflects the history of the city and more modern day requirements. Between the high-rise blocks, Edwardian and Victorian buildings have been meticulously restored, and many fine examples of Cape Dutch architecture are found. The cosmopolitan ambience is enhanced by the narrow cobblestone streets and the strongly Islamic
"Bo-Kaap" area. Wine-lovers will enjoy the experience of exploring the tranquil and scenic wine estates in the Cape Winelands, less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town.
Sun
City...
Situated two hours drive or a short flight from Johannesburg, Sun City offers a diverse range of attractions. It is South Africa’s answer to Las Vegas, and is one of the country’s major pleasure resorts. Nature lovers
will enjoy exploring the magnificent tropical gardens, where paths meander through 25 hectares of full-grown jungle trees and shrubs. Next to Sun City is the Pilanesberg National Park—an unspoiled bushveld sanctuary set in the crater of an
extinct volcano. Game drives, guided hikes, and balloon safaris add an extra element of excitement to this destination. Two exceptional Gary Player golf courses will challenge all
golf enthusiasts in your group, and the Lost City Golf Course is the only one in the world with a water hazard inhabited by
this many live
crocodiles!
Safari
Options...
No visit to Southern Africa would be complete without a wildlife safari. The private game lodges offer a combination of the ultimate in luxury, service, convenience, and unforgettable encounters with nature. The majority of the lodges
in South Africa are located on private land adjacent to the Kruger National Park. There are, however, some wonderful exceptions. With the emphasis on exclusivity and service, most of the game lodges are fairly small in size, making it necessary for large incentive groups to split between various lodges. Zimbabwe and Botswana
also have a lot to offer when it is important to keep an incentive group together on safari.
Victoria Falls is a prime choice, combining well with a number of centers within the region.
This information is aimed at providing background information to help design
incentives; it cannot and does not attempt to cover all incentive
options.
