Europeans get to Grips with Southern Africa...
as pioneers of overland camping safaris

There is a growing demand for overland safaris in Southern Africa. A group of 12 German, Swiss and Austrian guests were among the first to experience the new Felix Unite Tours overland camping safaris through South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

The safaris, which focus on nature and the outdoors and follow an itinerary that bypasses cities in favor of the many lesser-known scenic wonders of Southern Africa, are led by a team of expert guides. Inland and coastal nature and game reserves are included. Guides are handpicked for their knowledge of the local environment, animal and bird life and folklore of each country.

"It is a fantastic way to travel, especially if you are interested in nature and the outdoors," said tour director Silke Schmidt, who was also on the trip. "At each stop-over the guests would be taken off to do a particular hike, walking tour or beach activity while we would set-up camp and prepare all the meals."

This group has the resources and expertise to offer specialized safaris throughout South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia.
